Health Care.........

The actress Natasha Richardson died after falling skiing in Canada . It took eight hours to drive her to a hospital. If Canada had our healthcare she might be alive today. In the United States , we have medical evacuation helicopters that would have gotten her to the hospital in 30 minutes.

In England anyone over 59 cannot receive heart repairs or stents or bypass because it is not covered as being too expensive and not needed.

Obama wants to have a healthcare system just like

Canada's and England's.

I got this today and am sending it on.
If Obama's plans in other areas don't scare you, this should.

Please do not let Obama sign senior death warrants.

Everybody that is on this mailing list is either a senior citizen, is getting close or knows somebody that is.

Most of you know by now that the Senate version (at least) of the "stimulus" Bill includes provisions for extensive rationing of health care for senior citizens.
The author of this part of the bill, former senator and tax evader, Tom Daschle was credited today by Bloomberg with the following statement:

Bloomberg: Daschle says "health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them."

If this does not sufficiently raise your ire, just remember that our esteemed Senators and Congressmen have their own healthcare plan that is first dollar or very low co-pay which they are guaranteed the remainder of their lives and are not subject to this new law if it passes.

Please use the power of the Internet to get this message out.
Talk it up at the grassroots level.
We have an election coming up in one year and nine months.
And we have the ability to address and reverse the dangerous direction the Obama administration and its allies have begun and in the interim,
we can make their lives miserable. Lets do this!

A Pakistani police officer shows police record of the U. S. citizen Daniel Patrick Boyd who was accused of bank robbery dated June 20, 1991, at a local police station in Peshawar, Pakistan. Nearly two decades ago, an Islamic court sentenced Daniel Patrick Boyd to lose a hand and foot as punishment for robbing a bank in Pakistan's rough and tumble northwest. An appeals court tossed out the ruling, but the experience did not deter Boyd's Islamic faith, he now stands accused in the U.S. of plotting to wage holy war.

Michael Vick Reinstated..........

Vick, free after serving 18 months in prison for running a dogfighting ring, was reinstated with conditions by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday. He could participate in regular-season games as early as October.

Vick can immediately take part in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and can play in the final two preseason games - if he can find a team that will sign him. A number of teams have already said they would not. The organization hopes Vick “rises to the occasion and proves worthy of the rare second chance Commissioner Goodell has granted him.”

A total solar eclipse is seen in Varanasi, India, Wednesday, July 22, 2009. The longest solar eclipse of the 21st century pitched a swath of Asia from India to China into near darkness Wednesday as millions gathered to watch the phenomenon. It's amazing what people in other parts of the world come up with as a superstition or cult religion. I often wonder where all this stuff comes from, I guess it's from those "holy men" that have come down through the ages, from father to sons.

It is over yet? I'm so very tired of all this mess and I'm sure she is too. If these guys don't want her in the seat, then vote her down and get on with selecting someone else, and then we will have to go through this all over again.

Shuttle Launch Scrubbed Again..........

Space shuttle Endeavour's launch has been scrubbed for the second consecutive day due to poor weather. The next launch attempt will be at 6:03 p.m. ET Wednesday. The forecast is better that day, with a 40% chance of bad weather, compared to a 60% chance Tuesday.
Wednesday might be Endeavour's last chance to launch before July 27 because of an unmanned Russian cargo ship heading to the station later this month. Negotiations with the Russian Federal Space Agency could make Wednesday an option.
I guess the phrase...."if at first you don't succeed ...try...try ...again" applies here......... :)

An Uighur woman with a baby buys peach from a young street vender in Uighur district of Urumqi, western China's Xinjiang province, Saturday, July 11, 2009. China raised the death toll from riots in its Xinjiang region to 184, state media said Saturday, giving the first ethnic breakdown of the dead nearly a week after communal violence broke out in this far western city.
This is a harsh way to have to live and I truly feel sorry for any displaced people who are affected by conflicts and riots. The many countries that are involved in conflicts are leaving their people to suffer, while they destroy property and lives. This isn't just one country, there are many more and they are more of them popping up everyday.

A Uighur woman buys meat at a street stall at Uighur sector in Urumqi, western China's Xinjiang province, Monday, July 13, 2009. More roads reopened and shops unlocked their doors in Urumqi on Monday, but sporadic incidents reflected the underlying tensions in the city in western China where 184 people died in recent ethnic unrest.
This is not my idea of how fresh meat should be sold. I suppose it's hard to get good red meat in these areas of the country. I believe that it's very hard to find good food, overseas in some of those places that are in conflicts with governments and militants. Still, this open air market, gives way to bugs and flies which are very unsanitary.

British Soldiers Suffer More Fatalities

The American casualties come after eight British deaths in Helmand in a 24-hour period ending Friday, triggering debate in Britain about its role in Afghanistan. Britain has now lost more troops in Afghanistan than in Iraq. U.S. and British troops face a difficult summer ahead of elections in Afghanistan late next month.
A British soldier from 3 SCOTS cleans his rifle in a Taliban-held ...
A British soldier from 3 SCOTS cleans his rifle in a Taliban-held area of Afghanistan's Helmand province during operation Panther's Claw, July 11, 2009. British troops have faced heavy fighting during the operation, a bid to clear out Taliban-held areas north of the provincial capital Lashkar Gah, while U.S. Marines stage a massive operation of their own further south.
In this article, I read that the British people, may decide that the efforts being made in this area, isn't worth all the causalities. This may lead them to decide to step down from this Afghanistan operation and pull their men out. I'm sure if this happens, there may be other countries follow suit. I suppose time will tell whether the newspaper that was writing this article, can determine what their people will do in the long run.

Do you care about these things? I wonder how much these things get worried about? Some of these people can't see what's really going on in our world. They ask the questions, though and I suppose as long as they try, that's what really counts. Either way it's a way to communicate.

Who's Paying?

The Los Angeles city attorney's office is investigating how the city can legally press third parties to pick up at least some of the costs for Michael Jackson's memorial service at the Staples Center.

City attorney spokesman John Franklin said Wednesday that his office aims to have a report ready for the City Council by Friday.

More than 17,000 fans attended the pop star's public memorial service on Tuesday. The event is estimated to cost up to $4 million in overtime for hundreds of police officers and other services.

AEG Live, which owns the Staples Center, hasn't committed any money to cover the city's bill. What a way to go, he's still making debts even in death. I guess he can keep doing this as long as everyone goes along with the notoriety and fame. I for one don't like the idea that someone besides his estate or family is doing the paying. It's just not right and I'm sure before long.....someone will figure it out....

Michael Jackson's Memorial: Tributes to King of Pop - Slide 4

Here's the casket made especially for Michael Jackson, and it is bronze with gold plating, and the interior fabric is dark blue velvet. I understand that he was a popular entertainer and I suppose that this is what you call "fitting". I saw this type of hype with many other celebrities, such as Elvis, when he passed away. So, I suppose that this is the way that people do when they loose someone who's stardom they revered. I guess that all the old past was washed away with his death. Still he lived a very odd and scary lifestyle, that was questionable many times, landing him in court to prove his innocence. I'm sure there are many who still think there was a certain amount of guilt not proven.

Honduras Please Stop..........

Honduras' interim President Roberto Micheletti greets supporters ...
Honduras' interim President Roberto Micheletti greets supporters in Tegucigalpa June 30, 2009. Honduras' interim government battled on Tuesday against a tide of international support for ousted President Manuel Zelaya who vowed to return home after troops toppled and exiled him in a coup.
The coup leaders have three days to restore Zelaya to power or Honduras risks being suspended from the group of U.N. General Assembly Tuesday and the Organization of American States. Micheletti vowed Zelaya would be arrested if he returns, even though the presidents of Argentina and Ecuador have agreed to accompany him, along with the heads of the OAS and the U.N. General Assembly. "No one can make me resign if I do not violate the laws of the country," Micheletti said. "If there is any invasion against our country, 7.5 million Hondurans will be ready to defend our territory and our laws and our homeland and our government."
Venezuela's President said Sunday that he had put his military on alert. Chavez said his country's ambassador had been briefly detained and roughed up and warned that if Venezuelan Embassy was attacked, Honduras "would be entering in a state of war."
Once again there's another country to worry about. Now, it's even closer to the US and making it a world issue, like all these other countries, who want to fight. I'm so tired of all this mess, it's a constant thing. One country after another, wanting to destroy each other, in these stupid battles. The United Nations, is in on this one too, and that means our country will be dragged right into it.
