Another Year of Weather.....

I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the weather we will be experiencing this year. I know that each year we have had hurricanes, hit our coasts and even spawn tornado's that rip apart lives, homes and businesses. Severe flooding has affected many parts of the US during the last few months.

It's with true honor that we give this time to our servicemen and women.....for their meritorious actions toward their country and families. Yet, we are still one of the nations' that has the freedom to live and be able to survive under better living conditions, than these poor people. An all-night artillery barrage in Sri Lanka's war zone killed at least 378 civilians and forced thousands to flee to makeshift shelters along the beach. The army and Tamil Tiger rebels blamed each other for the barrage, which left at least 1,100 people wounded. It was the bloodiest day seen in months of fighting.

Swine Flu And Then.......

This month it's the swine flu.........and now what will we have happen? I wonder what will be next on our agenda of happenings? It's been one thing after another, to maneuver around. I wonder if there will be another food scare or what? Sure hope we don't have another terrorist attack. That is just about all it would take right now to plunge America in to another depth of depression. We've had enough of these disasters. Yet, for some reason the keep coming........there's many many people in the world, trying to get ahead at the other peoples' expense.

I'm A Victim Too........

It's becoming a hassle to get up on mornings, that I don't feel well. He rouses around a certain time and will sit there to see if I will get up. If I don't get right up then the will lay back down and fall back to sleep. Gosh I wish I could go to sleep like that. Anyway, he of course has managed to make enough noise, that I'm not able to get back to sleep. So, I get up and start the routing of making coffee, the going to work on his breakfast. I make sure that it is almost done before I wake him, and get him to take one of his medicines and stick his finger for blood sugar count. I don't want him to sit too long waiting for his food, after I give him his insulin. What can I say.........he's got me trained............just another day in paradise.

Darn Car........

I've never heard of this before..........but it happens every time we have a bad blowing storm or heavy rain. The coil gets wet and the damned thing won't start. I get so tired of having a fair weather car. You'd think the sorry auto makers would make a car that would start without having to worry about the weather. I know a flood will kill an engine, but this car was sitting in my drive way, and there wasn't any flooding in my yard. I'm so tired of this damned thing doing it's little jokes on me............I knew when it got paid for that it would get grouchy.

It's been a year since this news item came out and we find that Patrick Swayze, is still holding on and making the best of the life he has yet to live......... ( Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze has learned that he has just weeks or months to live. The 55 year old heart throb has pancreatic cancer and the disease has spread to his other major organs.) Our prayers go out to Patrick and his wife Lisa Niemi.
