Shower Glass Enclosures.........

I've always like the sliding glass enclosures that you see in the homes. They are so much easier to accommodate the stepping in and out of the shower. I've noticed that there are many different designs of Shower Enclosures which can be ordered for your home decor. They are very nice and have great price's to people who want to remodel their bathrooms and showers. Recently, I wanted to remodel my bathrooms, and considered using the internet to look for great economical deals. The package deals listed at this website, are worth investigating, so why don't you go to it and look around the different pages.

What American Thinks.......

President Barack Obama signs the Veterans Health Care Budget ...
For the first time during the Obama presidency, a majority of Americans sees the country as being on the wrong track. Americans are growing increasingly pessimistic about the economy after a mild upswing of attitudes in September. A survey showed the country in a decidedly negative mood, nearly a year after the election of President Barack Obama. Obama sent mixed signals on his top policy initiatives and continues to face a plurality of opposition
The economy is where real signs of stress are showing. The recent recovery of the stock market has done little to temper the pessimism.

Pocket Planners/Calendars....

Some much to do, so little time, is the phrase that has been used quite often. I've noticed that many people have to keep up with schedules, by having a personal pocket planner or calendar. It's a necessary thing these day to utilize pocket calendars to be on time and have your plans ready for the following days ahead. Business professionals can benefit from these units and need to have one handy at all times. There's just too much work to schedule, along with business meetings, seminars and such.

Washington has encouraged the operation in the northwest because many militants there are believed to shelter al-Qaida leaders and are also suspected to be involved in attacks on Western troops in Afghanistan. The U.S. military has also kept up its own missile strikes in the lawless tribal belt, including a suspected one that killed 22 Saturday.

Iran Threatens.........

Iranian media say the Sunni Muslim insurgent group Jundollah (God's soldiers) has claimed responsibility for Sunday's bombing in Sistan-Baluchestan province, which killed 42 people in all. Jundollah, which has been blamed for many attacks since 2005 in the desert province bordering Pakistan, says it is fighting to end discrimination against Sunni Muslims by Iran's dominant Shi'ites.

The incident threatened to overshadow talks between Iran and global powers in Vienna on Monday intended to tackle a standoff about Iran's nuclear ambitions.

The head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards on Monday vowed to "retaliate" against the United States and Britain after accusing them of backing the perpetrators of a suicide bombing that killed six Guards commanders.

Web Hosting.........

I've been in the position of deciding which domain, or webhosting website to use, for my blogs. It was all so new to me back two years ago, that a seasoned veteran, had to get me started and help me. I feel that I could have gotten a cheaper web hosting site, but at the time I was such a greenhorn, that the "words" involved with this subject scared the life right out of me. I was embarking on a new horizon, and had no idea what I was getting into. From that moment on it became a daily learning process, which is still ongoing. I can say, that blogging has become a daily ritual and I'm sure that I would be totally lost if my computer was to crash. The person, who tried to train me in this field, had that happen to her, and she was a mess for several days, running back and forth to the library. It's a good thing they have free use of computers inside local libraries. She was able to get past the problem and buy her another computer at a fairly low price.
I've noticed that you can get involved with what they call green web hosting networks. One of the green hosting websites, is powered, by air wind units while the other is powered by solar units. This is helping with the environmental issues of today, which is affecting the world's "eco" systems. Looking through all the different listings, I find many that have the qualities, that my server has, at a cheaper price. I'm investigating the possibility a change over and wonder how much effort it would take to do so? I'm sure I could be able to do this, if I make sure I read all the fine lines and small print.

Possible Second Stimulus........

Obama called on Congress Wednesday to approve the second round of stimulus payments, and several key lawmakers said they would. "This additional assistance will be especially important in the coming months, as countless seniors and others have seen their retirement accounts and home values decline as a result of this economic crisis," Obama said in a statement. The $250 payments would go to Social Security recipients as well as those receiving veterans or disability benefits, railroad retirees, and retired public employees who don't receive Social Security. Recipients would be limited to one payment, even if they qualified for more.
There will be no cost of living increase for more than 50 million Social Security recipients next year, the first year without a raise since automatic adjustments were adopted in 1975, the government announced Thursday. Cost of living adjustments are pegged to inflation, which is negative this year because of lower energy costs. Social Security recipients shouldn't get a raise next year because their purchasing power has already increased with falling consumer prices.

Diesel Parts......

A neighbor across the street from me, has a diesel pickup. This thing is a little older than the new pickups, so it breaks down from time to time. I'm not sure what are happens when a diesel car or truck is trying to crank up on cold mornings? It seems that the poor things are cold natured and have a longer time of getting warmed up. Either way, it is a long process of getting his truck to finally start. I don't know if he needs a new diesel fuel pump to help with the flow of the gas or maybe a better igniter. They tell me that it's harder for diesel to catch on fire that regular gas, since it's combustion is higher. I feel sorry for the people who invested in diesel cars and trucks, because the diesel gas price's have gone up higher than regular gas.

A veteran takes part in a demonstration against the military action in Afghanistan outside the Federal Building in Los Angeles October 7. Here We Go Again........

Thousands of gay and lesbian activists were expected to converge Sunday in a march from the White House to the Capitol, demanding that President Barack Obama keep his promises to push for civil rights protections from the federal government.

Some participants in the National Equality March woke up energized by Obama's blunt pledge to end the ban on gays serving openly in the military during a speech to the nation's largest gay rights group Saturday night. The president also said he would work to ban workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and to give same-sex couples the same civil rights as straight couples.

They Lie........

US Marines from Fox Company 2nd Battalion 3rd Marines are addressed by their commander before setting out from their base in Farah Province, southern Afghanistan. A fierce weekend clash in the remote mountains of eastern Afghanistan that left eight US soldiers dead also killed more than 100 Taliban fighters, NATO's International Security Assistance Force said Tuesday.

The Afghan Taliban pose no threat to the West but will continue their fight against occupying foreign forces, they said on Wednesday, the eighth anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion that removed them from power.

U.S.-led forces with the help of Afghan groups overthrew the Taliban government during a five week battle which started on October 7, 2001, after the militants refused to hand over al Qaeda leaders wanted by Washington for the September 11 attacks on America. "We had and have no plan of harming countries of the world, including those in Europe ... our goal is the independence of the country and the building of an Islamic state.

Thank A Soldier........

I found this in one of my emails and thought it was something I could support........so, here it is.....it is written by the Cause Director.........

God Bless you all......Nita

Thank A Soldier

I recently was contacted by a friend of mine who's little girl wanted to organize a "Letters to soldiers" campaign at her school. I had put her in contact with the wife of a soldier friend of mine and everything was good to go. Her daughter was excited about doing this and word was starting to get around about this campaign.

The "Parent Board" met and this is what they decided : " the parent board thinks if we support the troops that the school would be supporting the war and there is no war it is a peace keeping mission with conflict"

In the past three years I have setup schools from all over North America in doing such a thing and to hear that a school doesn't want to be associated with "Supporting the war" boils my blood. Whether we support what these men and women are doing over there or not, it's about brightening their day with a letter from home.

One story from my Tim Horton's for our troops campaign I received a Thank You letter from a soldier who had received a Tim Horton's certificate with a message and drawing on the back from a grade four student that simply said "I LOVE YOU STAY SAFE" he did not cash this certificate in for a coffee, he kept it with him on his entire tour and still has it to this day.

One of the schools I setup with a troop of soldiers when the soldiers returned, they went to visit the school kids and gave a presentation and slide show about what they are doing over there. These guys were in the reconstruction team and for the most part they gave out water to families who had never seen a clean glass of water. Gave out school supplies and drawing materials to children who had never held a crayon with a piece of paper.

Recently at work I sent about ten boxes of goods to a Front lines unit who hardly ever receive letters or packages from home. There were things like sealed brownies, magazines, socks and deodorant and my buddy told me for them it was like Christmas. These guys are away from the base for months at a time and to get items out to them it was really appreciated.

I'm not going to name the school, I am simply asking that if you read this blog and you agree with what I've written, Please leave a comment and I will be sending them all in a email to the Parent board and see if we can get this decision reversed.

Thank You

Obama Postpones Meeting..........

The Dalai Lama waves as he arrives at his hotel in Washington ...
The Dalai Lama waves as he arrives at his hotel in Washington October 5, 2009. U.S. President Barack Obama will not meet with the Dalai Lama during his weeklong visit to Washington.
Obama must balance his efforts to develop ties with China with his desire to support the Dalai Lama. He also needs to overcome harsh criticism by those who feel his administration is not doing enough to push Beijing to better address human rights complaints.
Those who advocate for Tibet see the Dalai Lama's White House visits as important messages of support for Tibetans and others struggling for human rights. A White House audience for the Nobel Peace laureate this week, however, would have cast a shadow over Obama's talks with Hu next month. Obama recognizes that how he treats the Dalai Lama will be watched closely, by Beijing, by U.S. lawmakers, voters, and by other world leaders who have been castigated by China for meeting with the Dalai Lama.
China says Tibet has been part of its territory for four centuries. It has aggressively governed the Himalayan region since communist troops took control there in 1951. Many Tibetans claim they were effectively independent for most of their history and say Chinese rule and economic exploitation are eroding their traditional Buddhist culture.

Fine Arts........

Some of you enjoy the wonderful displays of art collections shown at various art galleries. The different artists, who make up the world of art is not only varied, but gives different types of flair. When searching the web for artists and their work, it's imperative to look for the type you wish to purchase. Given this fact, you can then investigate the featured listings, for you consideration. Several artists such as John Mark Gleadow are listed at Paragon Fine Art Gallery. Each one is unique, in their form of painting, leaving you with many features, to absorb when viewing the detail of their works. Gleadow, is renown as being one of the finest photo realistic artist of today. I noticed that many of his paintings are listed at the same price, which leads me to believe that he has set them for certain schedules. The website, says that each painting takes quite sometime to paint, because of the detail involved in his work. So, you won't be able to get it right away, because of the time it takes to produce the finished product. What makes this even more appealing is that these are given in a limited edition bases and you have something not many other people can get. This makes for fine display in your homes and offices, as well as a great conversation piece, when you entertain. For more information about this artist, go online to the above link and look around.finest photo realistic artists in the world today
