So?

Are you all impressed with the latest news?  I get so damn tired of all the crap.  You should too when it comes to our country.  America, is sitting here like a wooden duck just waiting for the chips to fall. 
What will happen if North Korea makes their threat a reality?  Can you figure what might happen if they actually start shooting our directions?  War, is something that can happen at one slight of hand.  We are over in other countries trying to help them and getting threats from N.Korea who has us in their target.  I wonder what will be next if somehow we can't get things under control?

Oh My

I've been a frequent visitor of a certain popular website for several years.  It's come to my attention that some of the young people love to air their dirty laundry on it.  I have "unfriended" some just to get away from the constant deluge of depressing subjects, remarks and crap.  I have yet to see that these young people are making a change in their situations.  I wonder why they think that everyone should know they are going through tough times with family members?  If you don't like the situation you are in then get the hell out and change it.  Don't sit around whinning about it in hopes someone will feel sorry for you and offer you a way out.  They have their own lives and problems, they sure as hell don't need you to add more to theirs.  Don't whine to everyone then the very next day, be so damn happy with the same person.  WTF?

I work for several different online websites.  Recently, I've noticed the trend to hold money thats due until you build up your amount to the $50 dollar limit.  These certain website's had been paying on a monthly basis and now they've changed their policies.  It's just another inconvenience that I've been running into lately.

On  the rear of the One Dollar bill, you will see two circles.  Together, they comprise the Great Seal of the United States.The  First Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and  a group of men come up with a Seal. It took them four years to  accomplish this task and another two years to get it  approved. 
If you look at the left-hand circle, you will see a  Pyramid.

Notice  the face is lighted, and the western side is dark. This country  was just beginning. We had not begun to explore the west or  decided what we could do for Western Civilization. The Pyramid  is uncapped, again signifying that we were not even close to  being finished. Inside the Capstone you have the all-seeing eye,  an ancient symbol for divinity. It was Franklin 's belief that  one man couldn't do it alone, but a group of men, with the help  of God, could do anything.

The  Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, means, 'God has  favored our undertaking.'

If you look at the right-hand circle, and  check it carefully, you will learn that it is on every National  Cemetery in the United States. 
It  is also on the Parade of Flags Walkway at the Bushnell, Florida  National Cemetery , and is the centerpiece of most heroes'  monuments.
Slightly modified, it is the seal of the  President of the United States, and it is always visible  whenever he speaks, yet very few people know what the symbols  mean.

The  Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons: 
First, he is not afraid of a storm; he is strong, and he is  smart enough to soar above it.
Secondly, he wears no  material crown. We had just broken from the King of England . 
Also, notice the shield is unsupported. This country can now  stand on its own.
At the top of that shield there is a white  bar signifying congress, a unifying factor. We were coming  together as one nation.
In the Eagle's beak you will read, '  E PLURIBUS UNUM' meaning, 'from many -  one.'  Above  the Eagle, we have the thirteen stars, representing the thirteen  original colonies, and any clouds of misunderstanding rolling  away. Again, we were coming together as  one.
Notice  what the Eagle holds in his talons. He holds an olive branch and  arrows. This country wants peace, but we will never be afraid to  fight to preserve peace. The Eagle always wants to face the  olive branch, but in time of war, his gaze turns toward the  arrows.
An  (untrue) old-fashioned belief says that  the number 13 is an unlucky number. This is almost a worldwide  belief. You will almost never see a room numbered 13, or any  hotels or motels with a 13th floor. But think about  this:  
America  , which relies on God (not a number) to direct and lead, boldly  chose:  
13  original colonies,
13 signers of the Declaration of  Independence ,
13 stripes on our flag,
13 steps on the  pyramid,  13  letters in 'Annuit Coeptis',  13  letters in ' E Pluribus Unum,'
13 stars above the  eagle,
13 bars on that shield,
13 leaves on the olive  branch,  13  fruits, and if you look closely,  13  arrows. 
   And  finally, notice the arrangement of the 13  stars in  the right-hand circle. 
You  will see that they are arranged as a Star  of David.   


This  was ordered by  George Washington who, when he asked Haym Solomon, a wealthy  Philadelphia Jew, what he would like as a personal reward for  his services to the Continental Army. Solomon said he wanted nothing for  himself,  but he would like something for his people.The Star of David was  the result. Few people know it was Solomon who saved the  Army through his financial  contributions  ...then  died a pauper. Haym Solomon gave $25 million  to  save  the  Continental Army, money that was sorely  needed to help  realize  America's  -our-  freedom  and  independence  from England .  Therein  lies America 's Judeo-Christian beginning. 
 Most  American children do NOT know any of this. 
 They  are not taught because their history teachers do NOT know  this.  [They  were not taught!] 
 On  America's Freedom: 
 Too  many veterans gave up too much to let the meaning fade.
Many  veterans came home to an America that did not care.
Too many  veterans never came home at all.  They  served, they died for you . for  me.

Starting a new year, raises many questions of what, where, when and how things may happen.  We find ourselves uncertain about our life and how new developments will affect it during this coming year. 
People will die, babies born, couples marry......in all I'm sure it will be an eventful year as the one before it.  I only hope that with all the problems our world faces, we as people can find a common way to survive together.

Senseless

How is it that we have come down to this crap?  People are loosing their minds and taking it out on innocent others.  It's a horrible thing to go to school and be killed at such young ages.  It's bad to be a fireman, answer a call to burning homes, and be shot when you arrive.  I realize that people are hurting, but killing because you are hurting, doesn't change a thing.  It makes things worse, and people afraid to try and have a normal life. 
You have no idea whether or not you will return home from a shopping spree?  You don't know if someone will break into your home, rob you and kill you?  Things are crazy and that makes people fear.  Fear can cause people to react in a different manner than they would normally. 
How can things get better?  I honestly don't know!

Soldier Christmas

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT, A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS, NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE, JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES, AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD, THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS, LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT, I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS, SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, 'CARRY ON SANTA, IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE.'

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH, AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.

Understanding?

I don't know if there are others who are having these questions, like I have or not?  I have this question about the Security Plan that was supposed to be in effect at the "Sandy Hook School"?  From the information the news media has given, we are led to believe that someone should have been able to see this person had a weapon?  It is reported that he forced his way into the school?  If there was a locked door and you had to ring a bell, plus be recognized or issue ID and sign in, then what happened? 
Yes, his mother worked there from time to time.  But why would he have a reason to go there if his mother wasn't working that day?  News reports tell us that he shot her at home?  Then he drove to the school and forced his way in.  If the Security Plan was being implemented in the manner they suggest, then how did he force his way in?  This matter hasn't been explained to the public people and I have questions about it.  Maybe, I'm being overly critical about this but a Security Plan, is exactly that.
