Memo To Employes

As the CFO of this business that employs 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama is our next President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six (6) of our employees instead.

This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go. So, this is what I did.

I strolled through our parking lot and found 8 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I'm giving it to them.

Sincerely,

The Boss

Revenge List........

Reports say that investigators found the list in 28-year-old Michael McLendon's home.

The list included a Pilgrim's Pride plant near Enterprise where his mother worked. She was among the victims of her son's shooting spree, and the district attorney said she had recently been laid off from the plant.

Kelley's Foods in Elba and Reliable Metals in Samson were also on the list. McLendon had previously worked at both. Kelley's Foods says he quit his job there last week, and local officials say he was forced to resign from the metals plant in 2003.

As details of 28-year-old Michael McLendon's background began to emerge the day after the bloodshed, authorities still didn't know what set him off.

My Opinion........

Do you ever write a post about things that really don't matter to you? I do and it's demeaning to a person to be subjected to such antics. In order to get a certain amount of visitors, you need to constantly write something, or show some sort of work. Daily grind is listed as a special way of dealing with one's work schedules. To a person who writes, it's a certain thing, that you must write something daily. Even if your not really interested in writing about a subject, they say to keep the mood or trend going, you need to write. I guess this is what I'm doing right now. In my opinion, I should be able to write when I feel something in my heart and mind to express. I know that most writer's don't care for inspiration writer's, and unfortunately that's what I am. I suppose following the trend, makes me a conformist. So, be it.........it's just another way of expressing myself.

Spring Forward..........

Americans will set their clocks ahead by an hour this weekend, as daylight saving time begins Sunday. "Springing forward" creates another hour of sunlight in the evening. It also has some effects on health and public safety that many people are unaware of. A U.S. law signed by President George W. Bush in 2005 extended the length of daylight saving time by four weeks. It now begins at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March. It ends on the first Sunday in November.

There's a spike in heart attacks during the first week of daylight saving time, according to another study published last year. The loss of an hour's sleep may make people more susceptible to an attack, some experts say. When daylight saving time ends in the fall, heart attacks briefly become less frequent than usual.

In theory, using daylight more efficiently saves fuel and energy because it reduces the nation's need for artificial light. I wish they had of just left the damned thing alone...........it's just another thing to show us, we have no control.........

Investigators say.......

Crash investigators examine the wreckage of a Turkish airlines ...

Investigators say a faulty altimeter played a role in a Turkish Airlines crash that killed 9 people in the Netherlands. The plane was landing on automatic pilot and the problem with the altimeter led to a loss of airspeed before the crash. The Boeing 737 carrying 135 passengers and crew went down in a muddy field less than a mile short of the runway at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport shortly before it was due to land on Feb. 25.
It's my opinion that there's been one too many plane crashes, lately and something should be done to bring these airlines into aeronautic codes standards.
