Former US first lady Barbara Bush, seen here in January 2009, was released from a Texas hospital Friday, nine days after undergoing open heart surgery. Former first lady, 83, thanked the doctors and staff at Methodist Hospital as she left with her husband, former President George H. W. Bush. This lady is the same age as my Mom and I hope she does well.
