Tribes Buying Land..........
A photo shows statues depicting the various clans within the Winnebago tribe, overlooking a housing development north of Winnebago, Neb., which was built on land purchased by the tribe. Native American tribes tired of waiting for the U.S. government to honor centuries-old treaties are buying back land where their ancestors lived and putting it in federal trust.
It's good to see this happening........... the American Indians, have long been pushed aside, and left to themselves.......

Remember Our Soldiers.............
Specialist Edmond Carpio from Ft. Hamilton Army National Guard is helping load holiday gifts for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan at the DHL facility at JFK Airport. For the sixth straight year, DHL Express has teamed up with the New York community to donate and deliver hundreds of freshly cut Christmas trees, menorahs, decorations and messages of support to U.S. troops in the Middle East through DHL's annual Trees for Troops charitable program.
Let It Snow.........
People walk through the snow-covered National Mall in Washington, DC. Americans pining for a white Christmas got more than they bargained for, as a record-breaking snowstorm closed airports and roadways across the northeastern United States, putting a damper on the holiday's biggest shopping weekend.
I wonder if they put up the Senator's that were voting on the Health Care Bill? If so, that means that America spent some more money for useless crap.

Looking For Reliable Web Hosting?
I've been in the position of deciding which domain, or web hosting website to use, for my blogs. It was all so new to me back two years ago, that a seasoned veteran, had to get me started and help me. I feel that I could have gotten a cheaper web hosting site, but at the time I was such a greenhorn, that the "words" involved with this subject scared the life right out of me.
Looking through all the different listings, I find many that have the qualities, that my server has, at a cheaper price. I'm investigating the possibility a change over and wonder how much effort it would take to do so? I'm sure I could be able to do this, if I make sure I read all the fine lines and small print.
I had one person recommend a web hosting guide to look for a good company. She recommended a certain company because it's very cheap and reliable. She told me the company offers site building tools, application vault, web mail, antivirus, Php, MysQL ,e-commerce and hosts unlimited websites in one plan.
One thing's for sure you don't want to go for one of those "free" website hosting places, because they are not reliable. That sounds like good advice because I don't need any problems with my blogs and the way I have to communicate to the internet world. I can say, that blogging has become a daily ritual and I'm sure that I would be totally lost if my computer was to crash. n order to be able to tell exactly the amenities are. The person, who tried to train me in this field, had that happen to her, and she was a mess for several days, running back and forth to the library.
I am sure that reading some reviews at one website, I will be able to find one that I can intergrate into my way of socializing in the internet world.

Another Step For Senate
It looks as though the Senate may be able to get passage before Christmas of the historic legislation to remake the nation's medical system and cover 30 million uninsured. It was 1am when the Senate voted on the bill and the Independents along with the Democrats were able to make it happen. Despite the late hour and a harshly partisan atmosphere, Democrats' spirits were high. This action makes it closer to passing legislation extending health coverage to nearly all Americans. By doing this it will make health insurance mandatory for the first time for nearly everyone. I suppose we will have to take it whether we want it or not. I don't relish being told how to handle my healthcare coverage. I don't think it's right to tell the American people that we don't have our rights to choose.
Health Care.......
Our government has been so busy with this Health Care Bill they are trying to pass. The Democrats and Republicans are fighting back and forth about different issues. It's going to take some time for them to unravel the intricate details, and move forward with a lucrative health care plan, that will be suitable for all involved. The American people are worried about how this will affect them, and how they are going to be able to afford certain aspects of the plan. I don't understand much of it and believe there will still be too much fine print to sort out.
Medicare, seems to be a major topic along with the abortion guidelines. I wonder how they will fit any Health Mental Health stipulations into this thing? One Senator has gone to the extreme of pushing a protest by strowing a long row of paper up the steps of the Senate Building. I assume this means we are looking at a huge set of guidelines that determine what will become of our personal healthcare.
I'm one who is very healthy and don't need anything to use. Who needs all this stuff, if you never go to the doctor? I would go, if I felt I was too sick to handle whatever it was at home, with over the counter products and good common sense. I believe it's my choice how my health is taken care of, and not the governments.

Winterize......
The weather has turned cold and we are needing to get our heating units inspected. Recently, I noticed that we weren't having our home being cooled as well as last year. Looks like it time for us to get a service man out to check on things and make sure that we don't need a air conditioning compressor to be replaced. Sometimes they go out and boy it's a mess. I've watched my ex husband, repair our air conditioning and it's a very huge under taking. It is a good thing that he is a air conditioning serviceman, and knows exactly what to do. I wouldn't want to get someone to work on our unit, who didn't know their job. Too many things can go wrong, at a high price for ignorance.
The winter, is a time to make sure your units are up and running properly. I know how cold it gets here in Texas and I wouldn't want to go one day, without heat. We had a thermal couple go out on our unit, last year and we had to get busy before the fall months came. It's not a very big part, but can cause a large problem.
I don't think I would have been strong enough to survive the horse and buggy days. They had to have a good fireplace, maybe coal oil lamps and cooking stoves. I remember the cast iron stove, that my grandma had, and it would stink up the house with the fumes, from the coal that was burning.

Protect Our Elderly.......
Here in the DFW area, it’s getting to the point that elderly people can’t go to the grocery store and come home to put up their groceries. Criminals are following them home and when they pull up into their driveways or garages, these idiots attack them as they are trying to get out of their cars. They also ring their door bells, and when the door is answered, shove their way inside and attack the people. The elderly are having a bad enough time surviving in today’s world and then you have the uncaring criminals taking from them because they are too feeble to fight back. There’s nothing left that’s sacred anymore. These are people, who need to be protected, just like the children. I’m worried what will become of us all, with the way the economy is getting.

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the health care bill before Congress. I actually have read the bill and am shocked by the brazenness of the government's proposed involvement in the patient-physician relationship. The very idea that the government will dictate and ration patient care is dangerous and certainly not helpful in designing a health care system that works for all. Every physician I work with agrees that we need to fix our health care system, but the proposed bills currently making their way through congress will be a disaster if passed.
I ask you respectfully and as a patriotic American to look at the following troubling lines that I have read in the bill. You cannot possibly believe that these proposals are in the best interests of the country and our fellow citizens.
Page 22 of the HC Bill: Mandates that the Govt will audit books of all employers that self-insure!!
Page 30 Sec 123 of HC bill: THERE WILL BE A GOVT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.
Page 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill: YOUR HEALTH CARE IS RATIONED!!!
Page 42 of HC Bill: The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC benefits for you. You have no choice!
Page 50 Section 152 in HC bill: HC will be provided to ALL non-US citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Page 58 HC Bill: Govt will have real-time access to individuals' finances & a 'National ID Health card' will be issued!
Page 59 HC Bill lines 21-24: Govt will have direct access to your bank accounts for elective funds transfer.
Page 65 Sec 164: Is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions & community organizations: (ACORN).
Page 84 Sec 203 HC bill: Govt mandates ALL benefit packages for private HC plans in the 'Exchange.'

Hasan Charged.......
The Army Reserve unit that Hasan apparently was supposed to deploy with plans to leave for Afghanistan as scheduled early Friday. Hasan remains hospitalized in a San Antonio military hospital but is paralyzed from his wounds. Hasan has been charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder. The Army plans an evaluation in the next 45 days to determine his mental state that day and whether he is competent to stand trial.
One things for sure, he's unable to get away if he's paralyzed. Of course I'm sure he is under constant Military guard.
Ironic, that the people and nation he attacked are the one's having to take care of him and protect him. Some thing's are just not right.........

Suspect Killed........
Police officers look over the body of the suspected Lakewood, Wash. police killer Maurice Clemmons, in the back of a medic unit in Seattle after he was shot and killed by a lone Seattle patrolman, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009. Maurice Clemmons was carrying a handgun he took from one of the dead officers when a Seattle policeman recognized him near a stolen car in a working-class south Seattle neighborhood about 2:45 a.m.
Four people were arrested for allegedly helping the suspect elude authorities during a massive two-day manhunt. Some are friends, some are acquaintances, some are partners in crime, some are relatives. More arrests are expected by today's end.

A police car sits in front of the Forza Coffee Company where four Lakewood, Wash. police officers were killed, Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, in Parkland, Wash.
Maurice Clemmons, 37, a person of interest is pictured in this photo. Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesman Ed Troyer described the shootings at the Forza Coffee shop as an ambush.
