Hubby and Me

Thanks for the guest post by Rosario Fernandez
My husband and I searched for weeks for the best Dish Deals in the area because he HAD to get the channels that had all his football games before we moved into the new house. I mean, I guess I get it – I’m pretty addicted to Gray’s Anatomy but geez, if I heard one more word about the bowl games or the Superbowl I was going to scream. I love my husband but it seems like for 5 months out of the year all he thinks about is who’s playing who and what games are on and what his Fantasy roster looks like. I’m like, it’s great to like sports and all but at the end of the day you’ve got to enjoy spending time with your family (read: wife) than you do football. I love that there are so many things we have in common but at the end of the day if we don’t talk about them at all then it doesn’t really matter what you’ve got to share between each other!

Twas The Night Before Christmas.......

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT, A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS, NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE, JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES, AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT, IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER, ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING, SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE, THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED A UNITED STATES SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO, THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD, THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS, LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
'SANTA DON'T CRY, THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD, MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS.'

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT, I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS, SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, 'CARRY ON SANTA, IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE.'

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH, AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
'MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,! AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.'

Last Nights Football Game

I call it lowdown and underhanded, the way a certain coach did at the final seconds of the game.  Intentional "icing" of the kicker, by the other teams coach, is definitely un-sportman like, mean and lowdown.  It shows you that people can't play fair, no matter what they do.......

Free Food?

You do not have the right to free food and housing.  Americans are the most charitable people to be found and will gladly help anyone in need; but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. You do not have the right to free health care.  That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
You do not have the right to physically harm other people.  If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

You Do Not.........

You do not have the right to the possessions of others.  If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

Jobs

You do not have the right to a job.  All of us sure want you to have a job and will gladly help you along in hard times; but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

Happy?

You do not have the right to happiness.  Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
This is an English speaking country.  We don't care where you are from, English is our language.  Learn it or go back from wherever you came.

History

You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage.  This country was founded on the belief in one true God.  And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution.  The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, tough.

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." – Thomas Jefferson

Yet Another Quote

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." "My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government." – Thomas Jefferson

Just Statements

"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world." "When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe ." -- Thomas Jefferson

JFK

A voice from the past to lead us in the future:

John F. Kennedy held a dinner in the white House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement: "This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson was a very remarkable man who started learning very early in life and never stopped.

At 5, began studying under his cousin's tutor.

At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French.

At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages.

At 16, entered the College of William and Mary.

At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe.

At 23, started his own law practice.

At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses.

At 31, wrote the widely circulated "Summary View of the Rights

of British America” and retired from his law practice.

At 32, was a Delegate to the Second Continental Congress.

At 33, wrote the Declaration of Independence.

At 33, took three years to revise Virginia’s legal code and

wrote a Public Education bill and a statute for Religious Freedom.

At 36, was elected the second Governor of Virginia succeeding Patrick Henry.

At 40, served in Congress for two years.

At 41, was the American minister to France and negotiated commercial treaties with European

nations along with Ben Franklin and John Adams.

At 46, served as the first Secretary of State under George Washington.

At 53, served as Vice President and was elected president of the American Philosophical Society.

At 55, drafted the Kentucky Resolutions and became the active head of Republican Party..

At 57, was elected the third president of the United States.

At 60, obtained the Louisiana Purchase doubling the nation's size.

At 61, was elected to a second term as President.

At 65, retired to Monticello .

At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.

At 81, almost single-handily created the University of Virginia and served as its first president.

At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence along with John Adams Thomas

Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, his laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. Jefferson really knew his stuff.

TracFones

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TracFone for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I found that the only way to control my cell phone expenses was to go the "pre-pay" way.  When looking at my recent cell phone bill, I began to  see the Light  about exactly how much I was spending on those service plans.  It didn't take me long to realize that I needed a TracFone   plan I could control and have things limited to my needs.  My finances are considered "fixed income", so therefore I must have control over my spending.
For  Real TracFone customers  there are no contracts, no credit checks, no activation charges or cancellation fees. plus great nationwide coverage and excellent reception/connectivity.  There are several different brands and style of phones to choose from with  So many features extra.  As customers you can stay in touch with your kids and other family members during the hot days of summer.

I found that through the actual airtime I needed, I could be a person totally in control. All I need to do is is buy one of their phones, then activate it.  I know that I can have the convenience of buying airtime when I need it. suggest that you consider looking into this service, if you are looking to have something you can control.

You have to be crazy to be on a contract these days when you can get  everything you need   without one.  Straight Talk is a service that can cut my phone bill in half, and give me all the amenities of a contract.   I fell hook, line and sinker  for one of their plans.  It was exactly what I needed for my teenager's heavy usage.  I don't have to worry about the minutes when he says he's going to  call a friend  who lives next door.

The “All You Need Plan” meets even the needs of heavy phone users with 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data.  Unlimited Monthly service is only $45, and includes calls, text, picture messaging, and web.  Their  International Long Distance Service is a flexible prepaid calling service that enables you to make international calls from your home, cell or office phone at low rates.  Watch the video below to get a better idea of the services you can have.

Perry Against Gay Marriage

Texas Governor Rick Perry, repeated his personal opposition to gay marriage in a speech to conservatives in Denver Friday.  He didn't backtrack on his statement last week in Aspen that New York's recent decision to allow gay marriage is "their business." That's despite a direct attack earlier in the evening from a rival GOP presidential hopeful, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who took Perry to task for the comment.
Perry simply told the crowd that the traditional definition of marriage "suits Texas and this governor just fine."  Atta Boy, Governor!

Perry 2012 ?

There are a few people in the Republican establishment having problems with the lack of enthusiasm being generated by the field of 2012 GOP hopefuls. So when a somewhat new face from an significant state says they will "think about" running for president, those same people take heed.   He has made a statement that he wouldn't run, now let's see if he sticks to that.  The idea that Perry should seriously consider a presidential candidacy has got a buzz going. It appears likely the Texas governor will launch a White House bid.   Perry’s lastest actions have become eerily reminiscent of the front porch strategy that former Gov. George W. Bush employed in 1999 at the governor’s mansion ahead of his own presidential run. Perry is casting a Texas-sized shadow over the GOP race. When you think about it, that's a mighty big shadow.  Is America ready for another Texas President?

Biden?

Did you know that there are many people in America, who don't even know what the Vice President's name is?  I suppose he just hasn't made the impact that other Vice President's have made.  Isn't it odd that back during the campaign era the government officials were worried that he would always be outspoken?  It came to my attention, that every time he would speak, he would constantly repeat himself.  I didn't enjoy listening to him talk back then, and I'm sure he won't hold my attention now.

Cheap Eyeglasses

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of globaleyeglasses for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
This website has plenty of frames for you to choose from. Just look around and I'm sure you will see many styles that suit your fancy. With all the trendy styles and frames, I wonder if I'll ever shop at a regular optical store again? This company offers great frames for your prescriptions, and you can sunglasses as well.  Now you can replace those broken or lost glasses, much easier than before. How would you like to find, eyeglasses cheap that are made according to your prescription? Just think of the money you can save when buying for those clumsy school children in your family. You can get several backup glasses, in case they loose them or break them.
This online store has grabbed my attention and I'm sure that if you look around the website, you will find many styles and frames to suit your wardrobe and lifestyle. This place has many different eyeglasses  for you to choose starting at $6.95 a pair.  There is a virtual mirror you can use to try on frames. Just look around and I'm sure you will see many styles that suit your fancy. With all the trendy styles and frames, I wonder if I'll ever shop at a regular optical store again?

A Plan

A so-called "cut, cap and balance" plan is favored by some Republican freshmen in the House. It would allow the government to borrow an additional $2.4 trillion, but only after big and immediate spending cuts and adoption by Congress of a constitutional amendment requiring a balanced federal budget.  President Barack Obama would veto the plan if it lands on his desk. A plan sure to stall in the Senate, where majority Democrats say it would lead to decimating budget cuts.  This is just some more of his crappy actions,  to cause undue rhetoric in front of the American people.

The Weight Show

Thanks for the article from Isaiah Gaines
One of my least favorite shows that ABC has come out with recently is that new one about fat people losing weight. I mean- seriously- all you have to do is start working out and stop shoving food in your face and you should be able to drop those 200 extra pounds. Sorry, I’m not trying to be really mean- but I don’t think that you should have a whole show about how someone started running and not eating ten hamburgers a day and then lost weight. I would so much rather watch “Extreme Home Makeover” or anything else, really. Anything, really, that requires skill to do. Even with all of that being said, I still record it on my list of things to watch. My Satellite listings (which I got through http://www.TVBYDIRECT.com) includes all of the makeover shows and most of the reality shows that ABC airs. I’ll be interested to see how long that this weight-loss show lasts, because I think that a lot of people don’t really like the whole premise of it.

The following post was found in an email sent to me.........I thought it fitting to share it with you.....my readers.

Real American Hero!

"Shifty" By Chuck Yeager

Shifty volunteered for the airborne in WWII and served with Easy

Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 101st

Airborne Infantry.  If you've seen Band of Brothers on HBO or the

History Channel, you know Shifty.  His character appears in all 10

episodes, and Shifty himself is interviewed in several of them.

I met Shifty in the  Philadelphia airport several years ago. I didn't

know who he was at the time.  I just saw an elderly gentleman having

trouble reading his ticket. I offered to help, assured him that he was

at the right gate, and noticed the "Screaming Eagle," the symbol of

the 101st Airborne, on his hat.

Making conversation, I asked him if he'd been in the 101st Airborne

or if his son was serving.  He said quietly that he had been in the

101st.  I thanked him for his service, then asked him when he served,

and how many jumps he made.

Quietly and humbly, he said "Well, I guess I signed up in 1941 or so,

and was in until sometime in 1945 ..." at which point my heart

skipped.

At that point, again, very humbly, he said "I made the 5 training

jumps at Toccoa, and then jumped into  Normandy . . .  do you know

where  Normandy is?"  At this point my heart stopped.

I told him "yes, I know exactly where  Normandy is, and I know what

D-Day was."  At that point he said "I also made a second jump into

Holland , into  Arnhem ."  I was standing with a genuine war hero ...

and then I realized that it was June,  just after the anniversary of

D-Day.

I asked Shifty if he was on his way back from  France , and he said

"Yes...  And it 's real sad because, these days, so few of the guys are

left, and those that are, lots of them can't make the trip."  My heart

was in my throat and I didn't know what to say.

I helped Shifty get onto the plane and then realized he was back in

coach while I was in First Class.  I sent the flight attendant back to

get him and said that I wanted to switch seats.  When Shifty came

forward, I got up out of the seat and told him I wanted him to have

it, that I'd take his in coach.

He said "No, son, you enjoy that seat.  Just knowing that there are

still some who remember what we did and who still care is enough to

make an old man very happy."  His eyes were filling up as he said it.

And mine are brimming up now as I write this.

Shifty died on Jan. l7 after fighting cancer.

There was no parade.

No big event in  Staples   Center .

No wall-to-wall, back-to-back 24x7 news coverage.

No weeping fans on television.

And that's not right!

Let's give Shifty his own memorial service, online, in our own quiet way.

Please forward this email to everyone you know.  Especially to the veterans.

Rest in peace, Shifty.

Chuck Yeager, Maj. General [ret.]

P.S.  I think that it is amazing how the "
media" chooses our "heroes" these days...

Michael Jackson & the like!

"SHIFTY" - an incredible American hero
SHIFTY DIED JAN 17, 2011..........May God rest his soul.
Please do me a favor and pass this on so that untold thousands can
read it. We owe no less to our REAL heroes..

Here We Go Again

Moammar Gadhafi threatened Friday to carry out attacks in Europe against "homes, offices, families," unless NATO halts its campaign of airstrikes against his regime in Libya.
Gadhafi spoke from an unknown location in a likely sign of concern over his safety where he delivered the warning in a telephone message played to thousands of supporters gathered in the main square of the capital Tripoli.  "If we decide to, we are able to move to Europe like locusts, like bees. We advise you to retreat before you are dealt a disaster."
This threat came just four days after the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Gadhafi, his son Seif al-Islam and Libyan intelligence chief Abdullah al-Sanoussi for crimes against humanity.  This is one arrogant, stupid, dangerous man!  He's definitely pushing his luck, just like a few other dictators.

2012

I'm wondering what's going on with the potential candidates for the presidency? Why, are they waiting until now to get their hats in the ring? I saw Obama do a "take off" long before the year of the actual elections. He made sure everyone knew his name, and saw plenty of him. He gave his statements about the Bush government and made sure to put a slogan out there. "Yes we can!" Well, I see a bunch of people talking smack, but none that are actually doing much campaigning to make a good showing.  What are we in for on this election?  Surely, it's not going to be Obama .........again?

What Next?

Can you imagine what we the American people are up against this coming election? I need to know more about the one's who are wanting to be elected. You need to know more about them as well. It's not been looking very good, with the people who are placing their hats in the the political ring. I'm wondering if any of these contenders are any better than the one we have in office at present? I'm not impressed with any of them.

God is busy right now

If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!
A United States Marine was taking some college courses
between assignments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq
and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor  who
was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.
He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then
I want you to knock me off this platform... I'll give you exactly 15 min."

The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes
went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got
out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him;
knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.

The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.

The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there
looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to,
noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked,
"What in the world is the matter with you?  Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied,
"GOD was too busy today protecting America's
soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid
stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me."

The classroom erupted in cheers!

Didn't the US say that if a country was found giving sanctuary to a terrorist that they are enemies? It is mind boggling that anyone would question the relationship between the US and the country who did give sanctuary to a terrorist. It's a no-brainer.

Why?

The news media is telling us that Bin Laden was buried at sea........quickly!  My question is......?  Why so fast and why at sea?  Were we trying to hide something?  I certainly hope not, because I would want to know for sure, "that sorry nothing" was totally dead!  It gives speculation as to why the actions were made in such a fast and secret manner?

Never Forget !

OSAMA BIN LADEN DEAD

The news just broke locally that the US has confirmed the death of Osama Bin Laden and the US Military has his body.  It's a great day for the American people and we are finally vindicated to the horrible day of 911.  We wait for the actual DNA test to be run, to confirm that it is in fact this person!

Now What?

The hard part is over and now it's on with the traditional parts of the after stages, considered proper by the monarchy.  The honeymoon has been kept secret as was Kate's dress, so now the world waits for views of the young couple and their future together.
The Prince is an active duty search and rescue helicopter pilot with two weeks leave available before he must return to his base in Wales, so the honeymoon trip likely won't be an excessively lengthy one.  Time will tell how we these two fare with the new duties they have accepted.

Birth Certificate?

Ok, and my question is ...why now?  Why, did they keep us in suspense for such a long time and why in fact was it necessary to hide it from us the American people?  What do you believe, is it real or fake?  Sure leaves me wondering about the "why" of things?

Healthcare

The federal and state governments have begun to put in place other parts of the health care law, including changes in payment rates under the Medicare system for older and disabled Americans and a provision allowing children up to age 26 to remain on the parents' health insurance policies.  I can't quite understand the way they are juggling things around?  I often wonder, do they really have any idea of what they are actually doing?

I wonder just what these people at these "online dating networks" think they are going to accomplish.  I keep getting alias's from men who say they are living here in Texas, they are part this heritage and that heritage.  Usually the mother is from Texas and the father is from Egypt or some other country like Australia.  These men come under different names and constantly set up new emails with these online dating services.  One guy told me he was presently in Egypt!  I don't understand how he thinks that I believe anything he says, since it's very hard to get any type of media out of that place, with all the turmoil that's going on.  It makes me wonder how he can still be alive or safe with all the shelling they are experiencing?

Kindergarten Student

Where did this child get the gun it was carrying?  Can you imagine the outcome of this situation.  News has it, that a student had a gun in it's pocket and the gun fell out while the child was in the lunchroom at Ross Elementary in Houston, TX.  Three children were injured, when the gun discharged.  Bullet fragments hit the child and two other students when it discharged.  None of the injuries were listed as critical.  Kindergarten?  Now, really!

Trust?

President Barack Obama (AP)

I look at this face and wonder..........does it look like a face we can trust?  I don't think so!

Whew!

Well, how nice of the government officials to come to an agreement about the budget.  I see that they can actually work together, when it comes down to the pressure points.  Everyone is glad that an actual government shutdown was thwarted.  There were several who would have suffered loss of salaries, had that happened.  Although it has been extended, there still remains a risk that this thing is not finished and looms starkly over our heads.  Our esteemed President has now started his push to cut the budget even further.  Time will reveal how far this will go.

Shutdown?

Well, America are we ready for the government to shutdown?  They are saying that if this "spending bill" isn't passed then our Federal Government will start a "shutdown" that will affect how our lives are going.  In other words, there will be people working without pay, and many offices will close until something happens.  Certain areas will remain open, but they say that the one everyone is looking to for their tax refunds, will close and you will be waiting to get your refund, because no one will be working in the IRS office's.  Scary, wouldn't you say?

The Address

Most often when the President comes on the TV I flip to another channel.  I did this again last night, because of the political crap involved.  I got really tired of his face being right there every time I turned the TV on, so now I just take another route to save my distaste of the person.  I realize that he is our President and we must value him as long as he's in office.  I hope that very soon, his term will be over and we can possibly move on with a new trustworthy government.  Mind you, I am not holding my breath on this one.  I don't see many out there who have thrown their hats in the race, that I care to follow.

No Fly Zone........

Aid agencies brace for refugee outflow from Libya
The people started celebrating when they were notified that the Libyan foreign minister had announced an "immediate cease fire." The UN Security Council passed a "no fly zone" because of the attacks against Libya's own people from the Muammar Gaddafi's forces.  The rebels say that there has still been shelling even after Libya declared the "cease-fire", in their attempt  to keep the military intervention from happening.
I wonder how this will affect Gaddafi's decisions, since he's been known as a very radical person.

US Worried........

The US has chartered planes to remove American citizen's located in the disaster area, because of the growing concern from nuclear fall out presented from the possible reactor's melt down.  Some 600 families are being transported out of the affected areas, and it is said that the situation is only getting worse.  The State Department has has strongly urged people to defer travel to this area at this particular time.  Health and nuclear experts emphasize that radiation in the plume will be diluted as it travels and will have extremely minor health consequences in the United States.  Now, what do we do as we get ready for this impending problem?  Stay inside while all this is happening?  They say that there is possible thyroid problems from the exposure.  All we can do is wait out the situation and hope for the best.

Melt Down ?

The radiation fears added to the catastrophe that has been unfolding in Japan, where at least 10,000 people are believed to have been killed and millions of people were facing a fifth night with little food, water or heating in near-freezing temperatures and snow as they dealt with the loss of homes and loved ones. Up to 450,000 people are in temporary shelters.
The officials at the plant said they were considering asking for help from the U.S. and Japanese militaries to spray water from helicopters into the pool.  Experts noted that much of the leaking radiation was apparently in steam from boiling water. It had not been emitted directly by fuel rods, which would be far more virulent.  Tuesday's developments fueled a growing panic in Japan and around the world amid widespread uncertainty over what would happen next.
There has been so much speculation about the problems this trauma  can cause.  I fear that we will not have a complete view of the actual situation when it develops.  As of now we can only wait and see the outcome of the horrific event.

Pseudonyms

Post contributed by Hilton Miranda
Since I submit my articles to magazines under several pseudonyms, it was important to me to find an email hosting company that could accommodate multiple professional email addresses. I didn’t necessarily want any of my clients figuring out that all my emails were linked since I write in different tones for different projects. I also like that the multiple email addresses gives my LLC the appearance of having many different employees. How professional! It’s important in my line of work to be able to keep communication on my terms. I don’t want clients calling me at all hours of the night and I certainly don’t want to spend hours a day weeding through the dozens of emails that come into a central account. Having the multiple addresses is a much better solution for me than one mass catch-all email, since that can be cumbersome and I can’t ever keep track of what’s coming in from which client. All in all, I’m really happy with my decision to pay a little extra for that added sense of anonymity.

The Beat Goes On

Demonstrators shouts slogans and hold flags of ...
Where is this all going to end?  Surly these people know that more and more will be killed before something will evolve.  I know that most of these people believe that if they give their lives for something good then they will become a martyr and a hero.  I can't see that my life could make me much of a hero, if I died in this manner.  There are many protester's and several lives already lost.  Where will the hero's be when it's all over?  They will not be able to enjoy any type of freedom from this dictator if they are dead.

Gadhafi

Israel to let 300 Palestinians return from Libya
Moammar Gadhafi clamped down in Tripoli, but cracks in his regime spread elsewhere across the nation, as the protest-fueled rebellion controlling much of eastern Libya claimed new gains closer to the capital.
I can remember when my son was on one of the ships that shot at his stronghold in Tripoli a few years back.  America, killed several of this man's family and let him understand our distaste of his actions.  It seems that he thinks he has enough supporter's to handle the mess that's going on.  I believe that as the uprisings progress through out these countries, he will find he has no more control than the other dictators who are experiencing these protests.

Yemen Now Under Attack.......

Two dead amid ongoing protest in Yemen
Inspired by uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, Yemenis have poured into the streets to demand the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh after 32 years in power, the main grievances are poverty and government corruption.  Saleh's promises not to run for re-election in 2013 or to set up his son to succeed him have failed to quiet the anti-government storm sweeping Yemen and other nations in the region. Similar protests also swept into Libya and Bahrain this week.  The Yemeni president is an important U.S. ally in fighting al-Qaida. The terror group's Yemen-based offshoot has been linked to attacks beyond Yemen's borders, including the failed attempt in December 2009 to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner.
This activity just keeps escalating and filtering from one country or province to another.  I wonder where this will all end, considering the amount of pressure being thrust forth by these people.

Egypt Celebrates.......

Egyptians celebrate after the announcement of ...
Egypt exploded with joy, tears, and relief after pro-democracy protesters brought down President Hosni Mubarak with a momentous march on his palaces and state TV. Mubarak, who until the end seemed unable to grasp the depth of resentment over his three decades of authoritarian rule, finally resigned Friday and handed power to the military.
PM urges move to civilian, democratic rule in ...
I'm still wondering why it took these people so long to do this?

Oil Too High

Three of Russia's top five oil producers were accused Wednesday of fixing prices on the domestic market and following other unfair business practices that saw prices jump 50 percent in three months.  The logo of state-owned oil company Rosneft is seen on the roof of gas-filling station near Stalin's time skyscraper in Moscow.

It's becoming a mounting situation in many countries, and many people are bearing the brunt of it, because there's no way to control it unless the governments help.

Revelers

Anti-government protesters celebrate in Tahrir ...
Anti-government protesters celebrate in Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo, Egypt ,  Friday, Feb. 11, 2011. It is my understanding that these people have endured this for over 30 years.  Why only now have they done something to alleviate the problems?  They sure waited a long time to get tired of this dictator who has been in power all this time!

Don't Ask, Don't Tell

The government is stepping on some toes and some of them are our soldiers.  Not only are we pissed off about this, so are many soldiers who are serving and want to feel that America is an above reproach country.  It's really bothering some of us that our government could consider this in order to pat the "gay community" on the butt.  What does this stem from?  The fact that most of the politicians are looking to keep their jobs and want to be voted back in for the next term.  How horrible that our now serving soldiers have to deal with this problem, when in fact many of them are dealing with death on a daily basis.  This isn't right, and I believe that they need to kick those "gay people" in the butts, which is something they'd probably like.

A Soldier

Many of us know someone, who has a family member in the military.  We have been involved in these conflicts and wars for several years.  Today, we find ourselves still surviving through another year ahead of us.  We know that with all the different areas of the world our troops are located, comes the threat of lost lives.  The last 2 years have seen more loss that we care to accept.  Our soldiers, are serving in our militarises, for benefits that help them as well as their families.  One thing they know is that death is always a factor to dealt with by all in those fields.  We Americans would do well, to give as much moral support to our troops as we possibly can.  Also, be on a daily prayer vigil for all our men and women who serve our country during these times.

Gates To Visit

The United States and China are sometimes global competitors for markets, influence and increasingly for military bragging rights.  The United States and China have cooperated on sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program, and both nations are discussing working side by side to deter piracy and respond to Asian natural disasters.  But the two militaries are engaged in a test of wills in the Pacific, as China begins to challenge the century-old assumption that the United States is the pre-eminent military power there.  While it is modernizing, China's military still lags far behind the United States. U.S. officials say they are not concerned about the missile or other advances, but the U.S. Navy is the most obvious target.  U.S. officials say it is vital that the two militaries strengthen their limited lines of communication. Washington argues that with better equipment comes greater risk that a misunderstanding becomes deadly or that a minor tiff could spiral beyond control.
